Pen and ink on paper. Measurements: 21 x 27 cm. Hieroglyphic where the universal artist from Malaga winks at his friend Jaume Sabartés on how to decipher the drawing that is painted on the other side. In the letter we can read: “It must be said that when I draw on this paper you do not see anything because it is the other side where the paper carries the ink. To rehearse the ink of the xxxxxxxx of Rosita’s shipment (for him pleas, you see ) I have made some doodles. Here I send them to you. Pablo Picasso, 5-24-54)” Provenance: work from the exhibition at the Nonell Gallery “Original Drawings of Picasso” (catalog available with this published work), and acquired on December 13, 1983, important private collection, Germany.
