TREASURES FROM MEDIEVAL TO BAROQUE ART
Lote 392:
Signed and dated in 2002, mixed technique on canvas. Canvas measures: 100 x 81 cm. Madrid, 1958 Spanish painter. He studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he is a professor of painting. In 1992, he received the Painting Prize from the City Council of Alcorcón, Madrid, in 1999, he was a guest artist at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, and in 2000, he received the Third Prize at the V Contest Unipublic in Madrid. His work, with calm material content, is close to that of Fega or Patiño, above all, in the establishment of an elaborate pictorial scene, in which accidents occur, and in which plastic language links are established between abstraction and figuration. Alternating mixed techniques and, above all, using collage profusely, De Blas seeks the alternation of languages from simulation, obtaining effects of warm transparencies in the harmonic succession of deconstructed structures. The monographic exhibitions of him at the Detursa Gallery in Madrid stand out.
