Jorge Cardarelli (San Sebastián, 1971) studied interior architecture and art at the Art Institute of Chicago, at Sotheby’s and Christie’s in London. He has exhibited his work in museums, fairs and national and international institutions such as ARCO, the Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, Gavlak, Metta, Marta Cervera and La Fábrica. His pieces are also part of numerous private collections internationally. Jorge Cardarelli reviews the modern painting of the historical vanguards within Abstract Expressionism and the aesthetics and thought of the East are present in his works. His theme questions and raises concerns about love, ego, detachment, life and death.
