Oil on canvas, measurements: 50 x 65 cm, measurements with frame: 82 x 76 cm. Eustaquio Segrelles del Pilar (Albaida, Valencia, 1936) is a Spanish painter, sculptor and illustrator1. He is a member of the “Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino” of Italy. The Valencian town of La Eliana has a street named after him. The Valencian composer Nicanor Sanz Sifre dedicated the Symphonic Poem Eustaquio Segrelles to him, released in 2006. José Segrelles stood out in the watercolor technique with which he captured most of his illustrative works. Starting in 1940, he attended to numerous oil painting commissions for churches. The 19 paintings of the altarpiece of the main altar of the Church of Santa María de Onteniente stand out, various works in the Monastery of Sancti Spiritu de Gilet, Enguera, Algemesí (where in 1954 he completed the altarpiece of the main altar of the church that had been started by Francisco Ribalta in 1603), Carcagente, Albaida (where he built and opened his House Museum to the public in 1943); Reina Sofía Art Center in Madrid; FC Barcelona Museum, San Pío V Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia.
