Oil on canvas, unframed measurements: 51 x 63 cm, framed measurements: 65 x 77 cm. The Marquise de Lazán was painted on several occasions by various artists. In the 1790s she was painted by Francisco de Goya. This painting, which was certified in 1997 by José Luís Morales y Marín and by Pierre Gassier, was part of the Hidalgo de Rivas collection in Málaga, but was stolen in 1998. The second work by Goya is in the possession of the Casa de Alba Foundation and It is located in the Palacio de Liria in Madrid. The date of this portrait is between 1800 and 1804, and it is considered one of the painter’s most beautiful female portraits.
