Mariana Victoria de Borbón y Farnese (in Portuguese: Mariana Vitória de Bourbon e Farnese; Madrid, March 31, 1718-Lisbon, January 15, 1781), nicknamed the Infanta-Queen, was the eldest daughter of King Philip V of Spain and his second wife, Isabel Farnesio. She was betrothed at the age of 4 to King Louis XV of France, then 11, and sent to be educated at the French court. Years later, in 1725, she was sent back to her father due to her young age, who took this as an insult since she served to ensure France as quickly as possible an offspring for the young king. She married King Joseph I of Portugal on December 27, 17273 and was the mother of Queen Mary I.
