NO RESERVE LOT – LISTED AGAIN DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER. In oakwood body, and exquisitely embellished with bone, ebony and fruitwood geometric motifs on the front and right side in bone marquetry and geometric pattern forming an interlace in bone and fruit marquetry throughout the body. It has some losses of marquetry on the side and feet that were replaced by wood plates and repainted following the original pattern, the upper back of the chair in velvet was also replaced and painted in the form of flourishes following the same pattern of the velvet of the seat. Similar examples: a similar Medieval period Burgos chair, in a worse state of preservation, somewhat earlier than the present example in the National Archaeological Museum, Inventory number: 52044.
