A gold ring set with a carnelian intaglio depicting an armoured gentleman in profile, possibly the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph I (1678-1711). The intaglio is Austrian and dates to the late 17th century. Set in a high carat gold ring. Ring circumference: 57,6 mm. Carnelian measures: 1,5 x 1,15 cm.
