Subasta Especial de Arte Colonial y Alta Época
This type of container began to become popular from the beginning of the 16th century and was mounted in noble metals such as gold and silver, both in ecclesiastical chalices and in cups for domestic use. This rare example was possibly sent to Europe to be mounted on the edges of the coconut and on the base with silver by European artisans, and is still in its original state.
