Oil on canvas: 100 x 80 cm. Toni Rovira was born in Tiana (Barcelona). A painter with a long national and international career, he is sponsored by Lola Anglada, a universal Catalan painter. His work has various stages. Landscape stage, characterized by the poetry of the elements. Costimbrista stage, drawing everyday life with the support of Terenci Moix and Francisco Candel. Humanist and committed stage being classified as a “philosopher” by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, and “apocalyptic” and “prophetic” by Baltasar Porcel, as a “portraitist of the human spirit” by José María Gironella, and as a “thinker” by Cristóbal Zaragoza. Thus, with the desire to communicate feelings to as many people as possible, he decides to take his experience to the media, collaborating in the magazine “Hogares”, writing poetic portraits of famous people, currently collaborating in the magazine Primera Linea interviewing people from recognized fame. The countless national and international guests who have appeared on his programs endorse the success of his television proposals, backed by a great popular response (Toni Rovira y tu, etc.).
