Exquisitely made, this relief stands out for the noble wood used (boxwood) as well as the meticulousness of its details, in which we observe the Mother of God with a sorrowful gesture holding the Son of Man descended from the Cross, Flemish school of the late 19th century. 16th century – early 17th century, work clearly framed in the Flemish school by a Flemish or Southern German master carver to be identified.
