Magnificent sculptural work that was part of an outstanding Portuguese altarpiece from the Baroque period, around the 17th and 18th centuries in the Andalusian focus. A stipe is an inverted truncated pyramidal column or pilaster that sometimes has support functions. Of this piece, the elaborate combined shaft stands out, decorated the entire surface with floral and vegetal motifs. After the fine carving task, the piece has been gilded with fine 24-karat gold. It is a jewel piece from a Spanish baroque collection of outstanding quality and category. It comes from an outstanding and extensive private collection in Córdoba.
