A pierced gold pendant decorated in white & black enamels for the Order of Saint Dominic. Spanish, c.1630. Some re-enamelling, most of the original enamel remains intact. Similar examples can be found in ‘Jewels in Spain’, by Priscilla E. Muller and ‘Joyaux Renaissance, Une Splendeur Retrouvée’, by J. Kugel. Measures: 5.7 x 4.4 cm.
