Signed with anagram. Measurements: 108 x 69 cm. Born in Segovia or Madrid, between 1656 and 1663. Spanish painter. His biography and pictorial training are still unknown, except for a will signed on July 11, 1663 when he fell ill. He specialized in vanitas paintings and kitchen scenes with figures, in a style very similar to that of Mateo Cerezo and Antonio de Pereda, his contemporaries. Made in different sizes, the pairs of Kitchen Still Life with Meat and Kitchen Still Life with Fish (Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic, Barcelona) and another pair of Kitchen Still Life with Figures (Juan Abelló Collection, Madrid) stand out, as well as several vánitas (two unaccounted for and another in the collection of María Begoña García-Diego y Ortiz).
